If you need to soothe your nervous system, get upside down! It may seem counterintuitive since the idea of inverting sends a lot of folks into panic mode, but an inversion is ANY pose where your head is below your heart, from down dog to handstand. Some inversions feel much more accessible than others, but they all stimulate the vagus nerve, which activates the parasympathetic nervous system, meaning that your body can relax faster after stress. All these poses will let you experience the benefits of inversions! In this workshop, you will:

• start with a 30-minute dynamic and empowering flow that will help you build the engagement you need to SAFELY go upside down.
• then spend the next 30 minutes breaking down, step by step, how to work towards challenging poses like supported headstand, forearm stand, and handstand. Listen to your body, and stop when you need to stop, taking what you need and leaving what you don’t. Remember this is YOUR practice.
• deepen your practice by working toward these postures that shift your perspective, increase your awareness, and reduce stress.
• leave feeling empowered, strong, and centered. Suitable for those with any experience with vinyasa flow.
