“Kirtan” is the practice of chanting holy names with call and response melodies.  This can be done with or without instruments, in groups or alone, and the goal is to learn mantras through repetition and build to an ecstatic state of fearless personal expression.  

Different lineages and traditions offer praise to different deities and divine forms, but the intention is always the same: to connect one’s self to the Divine through music and song.  

You do not have to be a good singer, it is not a performance. It is an offering; a joyful community ritual and all are welcome regardless of age, religion, race or status.
